Discord drawing game
The simplest Discord drawing game is pikto.fun: you create a private game in your browser, paste the invitation link in a channel of your server, and everyone clicks to join while you talk in a voice channel. It is a free multiplayer drawing game, with no sign-up and no download, so friends can join in a few seconds. This guide explains how to play, how to organize a game night and how to stream a game.
Play pikto.fun with your Discord server
Share the invitation link in a channel
- Open pikto.fun and create a private game.
- Copy the invitation link of the game.
- Paste it in a text channel of your Discord server, for example #games.
- Your friends click the link, choose a nickname and land in the game.
A private game holds up to 30 players, which is enough for most servers. If you prefer, you can give the code instead of the link.
Talk in voice chat during the game
Join a voice channel before you start. Everyone plays in their browser while talking on Discord. Guessing happens in the game field, and the voice channel is for the laughs, the reactions and the complaints about the terrible drawing of the cat. You can also use a text channel for the winners' screenshots.
If you want to meet people outside your server, you can try a public game from the home page. For a mix of languages, the international game is in beta: everybody plays in their language and the chat is translated.
Organize a game night on your server
A few ideas to make it a real event:
- Announce it in advance. Pin a message with the date and the time, and ask for a reaction to count who comes.
- Create a voice channel for the evening. It keeps the conversation in one place.
- Choose a theme. Video games, anime, movies, Absurd mode or custom words about your community. Custom words (up to 200) are a good way to put your server's inside jokes in the game.
- Plan a few rounds. Three to five rounds fit a one-hour slot. Pick longer turns for beginners.
- Give a prize. A role, a nickname or a place in the hall of fame channel, decided by the podium at the end of the game.
- Take screenshots of the best drawings. The gallery of pikto.fun also keeps public drawings, with an animated replay.

Stream a game
You can stream a game with the screen sharing of Discord, or with your usual streaming software. By default, the word is hidden on the drawer's screen, which is practical when you share your screen: the viewers see the canvas, and they guess like the other players without knowing the word.
A few tips for streaming:
- Share the invitation link in your channel or chat so viewers can join the next game.
- Use a short turn length to keep the rhythm lively.
- Keep the Absurd mode in mind for funny moments.
- Let PiktoModo, the host who comments on the games, add some commentary and a recap at the end.
About Gartic Phone
Many people search for a game on Discord after hearing about Gartic Phone, a game where everybody writes a sentence and then draws the sentence written by someone else. pikto.fun is a guessing game, so the experience is different.
